European switch manufacturer, knitter-switch, has added to its broad range of high performance dual in line (DIL) switch products designed for use in a wide variety of consumer products where high performance and reliability are key requirements.
The DHS 900 Series comprises surface-mountable, half-pitch DILswitches that provide the same performance of 2,54 mm centreline devices in a package half the size. With terminals spaced on 1,27 mm centrelines, the switches are available in either J-lead or gull-wing versions and both types feature recessed actuators and sealed cases.
Both versions are available with 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 poles with lengths from 3,58 to 16,28 mm and a height off the board of just 2 mm. Mechanical life is a minimum of 1000 operations per pole. The contacts and terminals are gold over nickel over copper alloy.
DHS900 switches are RoHS compliant and feature a contact rating of 24 V d.c. @ 25 mA, a maximum contact resistance of less than 50 milliohmand an operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C.
