Hirose now offers the new Micro USB. This new USB connector format is an improved version of the current mini USB type.
The Hirose design has been selected as the new standard for Micro USB. According to the company, from mid 2007, major cellphone manufacturers, Nokia, Motorola, Samsung and LG will begin using Micro USB on their applications.
Hirose's ZX Series Micro-USB Compliant connector has significantly improved quality due to: stainless steel shell for higher retention force even after 10k mating cycles; special pin contact material to improve characteristics; LCP plastic for high temperature solderability.
