High power SPDT switch covers all WiMAX bands

27 June 2007 Switches, Relays & Keypads

Designers of WiMAX broadband wireless products will find NEC's new UPG2157T5F SPDT (single pole double throw) GaAs MMIC switch of interest as it features high power handling for linearity, low insertion loss, plus internal termination of unused ports across all of the popular WiMAX bands.

Operating at frequencies from 0,5 to 6,0 GHz, the UPG2157T5F is well-suited for WiMAX T/R and antenna diversity switching.

Key (typical) specifications include: insertion loss of 06 dB @ 2,3-3,8 GHz and 0,8 dB @ 5,8 GHz; input to output isolation of 25 dB @ 3,5 GHz, 22 dB @ 5,8 GHz; P1dB: >+37 dBm @ 3V, 2,3-5,8 GHz; and unused port return loss of 12 dB @ 2,3-5,8 GHz.
