Triaxial connector for broadcast applications

11 July 2007 Interconnection

Since its launch back in 1972, the Fischer 1051 Triaxial Connector has set high standards in the broadcast industry.

Acknowledged for its high reliability and strength, this connector is used globally in studios and outside broadcasting.

To further improve its user friendliness, the 1051 Series has been redesigned. Engineered to achieve greater flexibility and ergonomics, the new design of the 1051 plug and cable receptacle facilitates quicker assembly, maintenance and cable installation.

Made of new material, the re-designed 1051 series is lighter but still retains its high strength. The parts that make up the 1051 have been optimised and their number reduced, so that the assembly process is simplified, requiring no specific tools.

When cabled, it offers high versatility. Contact blocks are interchangeable, simplifying maintenance. The internal hermaphroditic parts allow a rapid change between male or female genders, or vice versa. To protect the connection and increase the durability of the equipment, the cable bend relief has been integrated into the connector design. And for time saving and greater flexibility, the optional protective sleeves are easily detachable even when the connector is cabled.
