New modular system for flexible enclosure climate control

The climate control requirements of industrial enclosures are as varied as their fittings. To respond to customers' wishes for fast delivery and equipment tailored to specific applications, Rittal has developed a unique modular system for climate control doors supplied straight from the warehouse. There are 48 possible combinations for profile doors: eight different sets of dimensions and six different climate control modules with different output levels and operating voltages. Besides the number of variants, another advantage is the prefabricated doors in which the climate control modules can be fitted without any sawing or drilling.
These climate control modules offer the same benefits as Rittal TopTherm Plus: a RiNano coating to prevent the rapid build-up of dirt on the heat exchanger fins and an integrated condensate evaporation system. These modules therefore offer high energy efficiency and low maintenance, with no need to install condensate ducts and no risk of slipping caused by the formation of condensate puddles.
The profile doors for holding the climate control modules are available for enclosures 600 mm, 800 mm or 1200 mm wide and 1800 mm or 2000 mm high. They are simply fitted in place of standard doors. The climate control modules are available with cooling outputs of 1500 W and 2 500 W and operating voltages of 115 V, 230 V and 400/460 V.
The integrated comfort controller can be used to control and monitor the climate in up to 10 rowed enclosures. Each controller is equipped for master/slave operation. The integrated display shows the enclosure's interior temperature and desired temperature, and also system messages such as 'door open'. This message will cause all slave systems to be shut down to avoid the formation of condensate. Switching hysteresis can also be centrally adjusted. The use of identical intelligent control systems allows the system to communicate with all other TopTherm units with comfort controllers while in master/slave mode.
