Highly portable data centre infrastructure solution

Modrac's EnviroRac solution offers a cost-effective, scalable and on-demand infrastructure that accelerates deployment, and allows users to invest in a moveable data centre infrastructure that is sufficient to meet today's and tomorrow's demands. This single, double, triple or quad server rack is designed to be a cost effective alternative to a conventional server/computer room setup, by offering intelligent management control.

A single unit would typically house servers, core switches, routers and central cabling system, eliminating the need to purchase additional server racks, allowing for cost saving and a central management point. The EnviroRac cabinet also reduces construction requirements as the unit can be constructed, shipped, installed and commissioned on site within what is claimed to be a fraction of the time associated with a traditional data centre. Due to the reduced footprint, a dedicated room is not a prerequisite at the location and the server/computer room can become a movable asset, as opposed to fixed property should a business relocate.

The EnviroRac unit also offers increased functionality with an IP based network-centric monitoring unit which will directly reduce the workload on the IT department, as the unit acts as a dedicated on-site observer.

Security is intelligently guarded and managed by high-security magnetic locks as well as an advanced keypad-controlled access point. An internal fire detection and protection unit also guards the EnviroRac against damage, while the internal airconditioner ensures stable climate control.
