Avago recently released a new series of high-brightness warm-white through-hole (TH) LEDs in a 5 mm round package for use in a wide range of solid-state lighting and illumination applications. Available in several packaging options, the HLMP-CYxx TH LEDs target designers of retail and commercial display lighting, as well as street and portable lighting applications.
These T 1-3/4 high intensity white LED lamps, which are based on InGaN material technology, are untinted and non-diffused, and incorporate precise optics which produce well-defined spatial radiation patterns at specific viewing angles. The HLMP-CYxx series is available in viewing angles of 15, 23, 30 and 50°.
The LEDs feature selective wavelength binning, typical optical efficiency of 33 lumens/W and a colour rendering index of 70, with a colour temperature range from 2500 K to 4600 K.
