FCI has developed a 0,3 mm pitch, low-profile FPC ZIF connector ideal for mobile phone, digital still and video cameras, and display applications.
The YLL-D provides 13 to 45 down-side contact positions and a maximum height of 1,0 mm, while the YLL-U provides 13 to 45 upper-side contact positions and a maximum height of 1,05 mm.
Both versions have a front flip-type actuator for claimed easy, error free cable insertion. This series also features high cable retention to ensure that the cable stays in place in demanding applications. The YLL's staggered surface mount leads simplify the attachment of the connector to a PCB, while gold plating is used in the contact area to prevent whiskering issues.
