Flexible power distribution system

Legrand has recently launched a new modular power distribution system designed for flexibility, optimum efficiency and quick installation, in commercial and industrial applications.

The flexible XL3 system, which can be adapted at any time, includes either standard or optimised distribution. Standard distribution allows the user to choose busbars and their supports, with a personal configuration for efficient power distribution. The optimised distribution system offers the combination of vertical XL-part columns and horizontal XL-part distribution blocks. This system, which ensures freedom of assembly, eliminates the need to create special connections upstream and ensures time savings in installation by being able to connect appliances on pre-assembled units. This system is available in wall mounting or freestanding distribution enclosures up to 4000 A.

XL3 160 ready-to-use wall mounting enclosures are designed for small businesses or for secondary distribution boards in a larger installation up to 160 A. XL3 400 and XL3 800 wall mounting or freestanding enclosures, with identical heights and widths, can be equipped to exact requirements to create main LV distribution boards or secondary distribution boards up to 400 A and 800 A. XL3 4000 enables the combination of cells, internal or external cable sleeves, including a back-to-back configuration.

The XL3 range, which has an aesthetically advanced design, is available in different plastic or metal materials, depending on the application. These units also have various index protection ratings, including IP 30, 40, 43 or 55. Flat or curved doors are also available in steel plate or glass.

An important feature of this system is the facility for quick joining to any enclosure, without the need for additional accessories. For optimum flexibility and adaptability, there are internal and external cable sleeves, as well as the capability for vertical and horizontal joining. Trunking supports, wire guide rings and cable tie bars facilitate wiring through these enclosures and for enhanced convenience, all side walls and top and bottom plates can be assembled after wiring.
