Poynting Antennas has released the new BridgePoynt WLAN-A0042 outdoor enclosure with an integrated super-high gain 5 to 6 GHz, 23 dBi antenna.
Protection against static build-up and lightning is addressed by an integrated DC short in the antenna and an additional earthing lug is provided that allows the optional grounding of internal electronics to external structures, such as the mounting mast.
The WLAN-A0042 is additionally equipped with Poynting's rugged new waterproof Ethernet cable gland, which allows direct, watertight connection of RJ-45 terminated CAT5 cable to the exterior of the enclosure for easy installation. This gland has been specifically designed for high UV levels and is moulded in ultra-strong glass-reinforced nylon and provided with a tightening spanner.
The WLAN-A0042 is provided with a mast-mounting bracket with new continuous elevation tilt capability and a mounting kit for any type of electronics to be secured inside the enclosure.
