Quick-connect option to N type connectors

IMS has extended its product range of Quick Lock Systems with the new connector family SnapN. These connectors are compatible with N connectors, so that female SnapN jacks can be mated with male N plugs.

SnapN connectors are suitable for all applications up to 11 GHz and guarantee a minimum of 200 mating cycles.

Because of the quick-lock mechanism, no mounting tool is required, and the engagement force is smaller than that of standard N connectors; the manufacturer claims that the resulting mating process is 10 times faster than with N connectors. SnapN cable mount angle plugs are 360° rotatable which makes the positioning of the cables very flexible.
