Mean Well has developed a new high performance DC-AC power inverter in the form of the TS-1000 series. Using high-frequency circuit topology, this true sine wave inverter is lightweight and provides up to 92% efficiency, capable of providing 1000 W continuously for harsh loads with total harmonic distortion below 3%. Peak load capability is 1150 W for 3 minutes, 1500 W for 10 seconds, or 2000 W surge power for 30 utility cycles.
The TS-1000 is controlled by microprocessor and the output AC voltage and frequency can be adjusted easily through the front panel for various applications. A standby mode is also available to save the energy stored in the battery banks. Protection for this unit includes an internal fuse, BAT low alarm, BAT low shutdown, BAT polarity and BAT over-voltage protection for the input side, and short circuit, inverter overload, over temperature protection and GFCI for the output side.
