The IPC-630 from Advantech is an elegant silver industrial chassis that features compactness as the design keynote. It offers comprehensive support for both PICMG 1.0/1.3 backplanes up to 15 slots, and ATX motherboards. Two front USB ports and one front COM port offer good I/O connectivity. Activated by a unique self-monitoring module, four LEDs on the IPC-630 front panel display system state and the activity status of power supplies, system fans, thermal conditions and hard disk status.
A wide range of power options, from single PS/2 300 W/400 W to redundant 300 W/400 W power supplies, provides users great flexibility during the planning stages. The IPC-630's shockproof disk drive housing and rubber cushions protect the three front-accessible 5,25" and two 3,5" drive bays against harsh industrial environments. The lockable front door secures the unit against unauthorised access. Nylon air filters are much more durable and easy to care for than traditional sponge materials. Screw holes located between the card-guiding rails are designed to fix a full-sized CPU card firmly onto the chassis, strengthening the overall system design.
For customers who would like to place corporate logos onto the chassis, the new logo panel on the IPC-630 is interchangeable, and one blank customisable logo panel is included in the package.
