From the 'sounds too good to be true' department

A US company called Machina Dynamica is selling what it calls an 'audiophile-grade' cover for wall outlets.

The company claims that several of these covers used in a listening room can provide significant improvements to the sound quality in the room, producing "a remarkable degree of focus, detail and presence".

These covers are intended to replace all types of duplex covers - steel, plastic, wood, etc, - in the listening room - including non-audio outlets and unused outlets. Apparently, for the system to work optimally, it is vital that the mounting screw should be loosened 1 to 1½ turns from the point when it is nearly tight.

A duplex cover is priced at $30, while the quadruple version will set you back $40. A search on amazon.com shows that ordinary plain old covers are available from as little as $0,22.
