Compact case meets railway standards

Electronic components have to be packaged to protect sensitive electronic devices against external influence and to prevent interference of the external environment by the contents within. The Guardbox 33 from Elma has the ability to carry out both functions - IP and EMC protection - simultaneously, thanks to a very robust construction.

This compact case is made from aluminium extrusions and has been successfully tested against the railway standard EN 50155. This enables equipment and instruments to be used in railway rolling stock applications.

The case provides EMC shielding of 40 dB and environmental protection to IP54, with the additional possibility of upgrading to IP65 for dust and water jet protection. Its construction allows easy access to the interior and enables a variety of assembly possibilities and multiple fixing options with angle brackets and mounting slots.
