Tibbo’s DS1000 BASIC-programmable industrial controller recently received IP68 certification through the use of a secondary waterproof cover which attaches to the top of the unit and accommodates up to six signal cables that can securely exit through it.
The DS1000 is based on Tibbo’s EM1000 module, featuring an 88 MHz purpose-built CPU with 512 or 1024 KB of onboard Flash and a realtime clock with backup power. By way of communications, it features one 100BaseT Ethernet port, as well as four high-speed RS232 ports supporting data rates up to 920 Kbps and automatic flow control.
The controller is programmable using Tibbo BASIC, which provides a familiar programming interface for users of BASIC-based languages, as well as numerous high-level objects to speed and simplify coding. A Web server with dynamic content generation is also integrated.
