High-speed. half-bridge MOSFET drivers

20 August 2008 Power Electronics / Power Management

Maxim has introduced the MAX15018/MAX15019 high-voltage, high-speed MOSFET drivers for high- and low-side n-channel MOSFETs. These devices feature a high-side (HS) pin that allows input voltages up to 125 V.

The devices provide a 3 A peak source/sink current, 35 ns propagation delay and guaranteed 2 ns matched propagation delay between drivers, making them ideal for high-frequency power supplies. Several versions are available with the choice of TTL- or CMOS-compatible non-inverting/non-inverting or non-inverting/inverting logic inputs.

The logic inputs are protected against voltage spikes up to +15 V, regardless of the V+ supply voltage. The ICs are available in standard and thermally enhanced 8-pin SO packages and are fully specified over the -40 to +125°C automotive temperature range.
