New family of Serial Flash memory

The A25L0xx series from AMIC is a new family of Serial Flash memory products with advanced write protection mechanisms, accessed by a high-speed SPI-compatible bus capable of handling speeds of 100 MHz per bus. Memory options for the SPI family include 512 Kb, 1 Mb, 2 Mb, 4 Mb, 8 Mb, 16 Mb and 32 Mb in SO8, SO16 and DIP packages.

The A25L0xx series offers a flexible architecture with 4 KByte sectors and 64 KByte block. The whole memory can be erased using the chip-erase instruction, a block at a time using the block erase instruction or a sector at a time using the sector erase instruction.

Power standby consumption is very low, with standby currents as low as 5 μA and deep power down modes as low as 1 μA.
