Semikron developed its SKiM product range in joint cooperation with important international customers of power electronics. It says that this ensures global compatibility of the modules and fulfils the requirements for a new industrial standard.
Developed for compact converter designs, the pressure contact is reliable and the driver PCB is easily snapped on without soldering. There is an option of advanced materials for higher current densities.
Mechanically it features ultra-low, compact housing for low inductance and a homogeneous current distribution and an integrated temperature sensor (SKiM 4 and SKiM 5). There are spring contacts for the control terminals and an option of additional stand-offs for reinforced driver assembly.
