Samtec has expanded its Micro Rugged product offering with a new 0,8 mm pitch terminal and socket interconnect system featuring high-reliability, multifinger Tiger Eye contacts.
The new Tiger Eye 0,8 mm system (SEM/TEM series) is available standard with up to 50 pins per row, and application specific sizes are available. The terminal and socket system comes with a choice of mated stack heights from 6 mm to 10 mm.
In addition to the heat treated BeCu Tiger Eye contacts which enable the system to achieve high mating cycles, the terminal and socket strips are available with optional features such as alignment pins, locking clips and weld tabs, making it ideal for rugged and other high reliability applications.
The devices are also available in 1,27 mm pitch designs (SFM/TFM Series) with a mating discrete wire cable assembly (SFSD/TFSD Series) which features a rugged metal latching system. Also available is an IP68-rated sealed circular cable plug and receptacle system (SCP3/SCR3 Series).
