Hoffman has released the new CC3000 operator interface enclosure system designed to protect operator interface terminals and electronic monitors in UL Type 12 industrial environments. It eases the job of controlling a machine or entire processing line by protecting the human machine interface (HMI) devices in accessible, attractive and customised enclosures.
The CC3000 is built on a modular platform to offer flexibility. Users can select from four standard models sized to fit the most popular HMI tools, including flat-screen devices, lights, meters and gauges. Hoffman can also custom-size the CC3000 to a user’s exact requirements in millimetre increments from 250 x 250 mm to 600 x 600 mm.
The enclosure system’s thermal single-wall aluminium construction has been designed and tested to dissipate heat efficiently and eliminate thermal buildup inside the enclosure. In many cases, these design features preclude the need for active cooling; however, an internal fan can be installed if required.
UL-rated for indoor use, CC3000 enclosures protect against dust, dirt, dripping water and non-corrosive liquids. Applications include process control, system integration, robotics, material handling, wastewater processing, and oil and gas processing.
The enclosures deliver an attractive solution in 120 mm and 200 mm solid body depth profiles. A 55 mm hinged door extension for the enclosure front or rear opening is available, as is a keyboard component provision and five handle configurations. The extruded Type 6063 aluminium top and sides offer quality appearance and internal flexibility.
All body sizes and styles are compatible with Hoffman’s current pendant and pedestal offerings, and rear doors can be hinged on the right or left side for easy access. There is a USB connector accessory to facilitate keyboard/mouse access and software upgrades. Blue, purple, red and turquoise accessory colours are available to match popular operator interface schemes.
