Phoenix Contact’s compact, easy-to-use nanoLine control platform facilitates cost-efficient automation of small-scale applications in any industrial environment. The solution comprises a base unit that can be flexibly expanded to include a communication and I/O module if required.
The new nLC-50-024D-06I-04QRD-05A base unit features four relay outputs and a four channel input module. Each of the individually configurable channels offers 12-bit resolution and can process input voltages of 0–10 V d.c. or -10 to +10 V d.c., as well as currents in the 4–20 mA range.
When expanded with the Ethernet communication module and the serial RS485 module, the base unit acts as a Modbus TCP or RTU server. This allows the unit to be connected to a company network and monitored remotely from a host computer. Modbus RTU also makes it possible to add further local controls or operating and monitoring devices to the base unit.
The nanoLine controller is programmed using the intuitive and easy-to-learn nanoNavigator 1.3 flowchart language, which is available for download free of charge.
