Operating at 1 GHz, Analog Devices’ new ADA4817 is a FET op amp designed for high-performance medical diagnostic and portable devices, as well as instrumentation equipment. The ADA4817-1 (single) and ADA4817-2 (dual) FastFET amplifiers are unity-gain stable, ultra-high-speed voltage feedback amplifiers with FET inputs. These amplifiers were developed with the company’s proprietary eXtra Fast Complementary Bipolar (XFCB) process, which allows them to achieve a combination of high speed and ultra-low noise (4 nV/√Hz; 2,5 fA/√Hz) as well as very high input impedance. With low noise, low offset voltage (2 mV maximum), 1,5 pF input capacitance and -3 dB bandwidth at 1050 MHz, the devices are ideal for data acquisition front ends as well as wideband transimpedance applications, such as photodiode preamps. A voltage range from 5 V to 10 V gives them the ability to operate on either single or dual supplies.
