Fanless embedded computer

1 April 2009 Computer/Embedded Technology

Axiomtek has upgraded its IPC910H compact embedded computer to support wider expansions with a choice between two PCI Express slots or one PCI slot plus one PCI Express slot. Built on the Intel 945GME chipset, the IPC910H supports a socket M Intel Core2 Duo processor with two DDR2 533/667 SODIMM sockets to provide up to 4 GB memory. The integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 offers enhanced graphics and increased I/O bandwidth.

The fanless design and thermal solution enable the IPC910H to operate without noise and work reliably in critical environments at temperature from -5°C to

45°C. This compact size rugged industrial barebone system is a powerful all-in-one embedded box PC with expansion capability especially suitable for industrial automation, kiosk/POI, AOI and vehicle applications.

The computer supports one 2,5” hard disk for high-capacity storage and one CompactFlash Type II socket for onboard solid-state storage. It features two power connector options, Din-jack and Phoenix plug, making it easier to apply in a wide range of environments. It features I/O connections including two Gigabit Ethernet ports, six USB 2.0 ports, four COM ports (three x RS232, one x RS232/422/485), PS/2, and VGA. It supports various embedded operating systems including Windows 2000, XP and XP Embedded.
