High-speed low-power comparators

Microchip has released the MCP656X family of high-speed comparators, with rail-to-rail input and output, push-pull open-drain outputs and low quiescent current. With an operating speed of 45 ns, the new family of devices offers the high performance and low power options needed by a wide range of applications. With a supply voltage as low as 1,8 V and low quiescent current of 100 μA, they are well suited for battery powered devices. The comparator family’s rail-to-rail I/O structure provides excellent dynamic range and high performance across the entire operating voltage range, making them suitable for industrial (power supplies, motor control), consumer (RF readers, alarm systems and portable electronics), and automotive (zero-crossing detectors, high-speed sampling circuits) applications.
