Murata Power Solutions has added a new model to its VR110 series of single inline packaged (SIP) voltage regulator modules to address applications where component height is restricted.
The VR110B080CA-1C is housed in a package that achieves an installed height of just 20,5 mm.
The regulator has a single 7-bit DAC-programmable output of 0,8375 V to 1,6 V d.c., with a maximum output current of 80 A. Input voltage is 12 V d.c. and full-load efficiency is 88%, making the device Intel VRM 11.0 compliant. Features include ‘power good’ output, differential remote sense, remote enable, dynamic VID capability and a tri-state output when disabled.
A comprehensive set of supervisory and self-protection features such as output over-current, short circuit protection, an output current level signal and an over-temperature indicator are also incorporated in the design. The module is RoHS compliant and operates in temperatures from 0°C to +65°C.
