Mean Well’s new HRP(G)-600 series are AC-DC miniature enclosed power supplies with a PFC function that fulfil the requirement of EN61000-3-2 for harmonic current.
Compared to the company’s previous offering, the new models have boosted efficiency by 5%, reduced size by 23,4% and extended the warranty from three years to five years.
Standard features of the HRP-600 and HRPG-600 include 300 V a.c. input surge immunity for 5 seconds, remote sense, DC OK signal, LED indicator, EMS immunity to heavy industry levels (EN61000-6-2), and protection for short-circuit, overload, over-voltage and over-temperature. Featuring up to 89% efficiency, they can provide 600 W continuously up to 50°C thanks to a built-in DC fan with fan speed control function.
To fulfil the growing trend of energy efficient design, the HRPG-600 models are offered with additional remote ON/OFF control and 5 V/0,3 A standby output to achieve no-load power consumption of less than 0,5 W. Suitable applications are general electronics, factory automation, moving signs, and test and measurement equipment.
