Current-sensing resistor

RoyalOhm recently released the CS series surface-mount current-sensing chip resistor that combines low resistance with tight tolerances and low TCR for current-sensing applications.

The CS series is offered in five case sizes: the 0,1 W 0603, the 0,125 W 0805, the 0,25 W 1206, the 0,5 W 2010, and the 1 W 2512. The resistor features a resistance range from 20 mΩ to 100 mΩ, with tight tolerances of ±1% and ±5%, and low TCR of ±100 ppm/°C, ±200 ppm/°C, ±300 ppm/°C, ±400 ppm/°C, and ±500 ppm/°C respectively, over an operating temperature range of -55°C to +155°C.

Typical applications include precision current sensing, power supplies, weigh scales, feedback circuits, precision voltage dividers, power management systems, medical and weapons systems, electron beam applications, satellites and aerospace systems, laptop computers, current regulators, battery chargers, over-current protection, DC-DC converters, and commercial and military avionics.
