New from Tyco Electronics is a high-current, printed-circuit board edge connector with a current rating of 63 A per linear centimetre. The SEC-II power connector is an improved version of Tyco’s existing SEC line, offering improvements in contact design for efficient current transfer and a ventilated housing to keep contacts cool.
In addition, the AC and DC contact designs maximise the current carrying capacity for use in AC-DC power supplies. The SEC-II power connector is available in both vertical and right angle configurations.
