Nicomatic has enhanced its CRIMPFLEX FFC connector range to offer more space- and cost-saving solutions thanks to their 1,27 mm pitch.
A specially designed crimping press allows customers to crimp up to 25 contacts at a time in order to increase productivity and decrease the risk of pitch drift during the crimping process. Contact crimping is achieved by piercing the conductor at six points, two of which are designed to ensure mechanical retention and the other four which provide electrical conductivity.
Contacts are made from phosphor bronze, enabling a maximum current per contact of 1,5 A with a contact resistance of 15 m. Rated voltage is 100 V a.c. and dielectric withstand voltage is 300 V a.c. The contacts are classified to UL 94-V0 and are suitable for operation between -55°C and +105°C.
