Miniature wearable cases

OKW ’s Minitec range of cases is targeted at applications requiring small enclosures with easy handling properties, such as lanyards, bracelets and wrist straps.

They are available in two basic designs (E and D) as standard, and each case consists of a top and a bottom part as well as an intermediate ring. The latter not only accommodates the strap loops and eyelets for attaching the cases, but its material properties (TPE) also allow a pleasant touch sensation and at the same time provide impact protection for the end device.

Any necessary boards or components are installed by clamping them in the bottom part of the case; the location bases are already permanently integrated. A recessed operating area on the visible side protects the membrane keyboards, operating and display elements in both case versions – version E is also available without a recess. The standard colours used are off-white and a lava colour made of high-quality ABS, as well as a black infrared-permeable PMMA (Plexiglas). The TPE intermediate ring is not only available in the standard case colours but also in volcano, orange, green and blue; individual corporate designs are also possible, depending on the customer’s specifications.

The Minitec E has a technical appearance, with rounded edges and dimensions of 52 x 32 x 15 mm, 68 x 42 x 18 mm and 78 x 48 x 20 mm (L x W x H). The Minitec D has a drop shape derived from nature, in the standard dimensions of 51 x 32 x 13 mm, 70 x 44 x 16 mm and 84 x 47 x 19 mm. The range is completed by a matching key ring with a diameter of 20,5 mm, as well as different versions of high-quality necklaces and bracelets.
