Nicomatic has enhanced the packaging properties of its keypad domes to prevent them sticking to one another, ensuring efficient automatic placement and packaging in tubes for quick and easy positioning. The patented ‘Switch Air’ technology features a notch on the sides of the domes which creates a cushion of air to keep the domes separated.
The four-legged domes are available with or without a dimple, and offer excellent tactile feedback as well as a life expectancy of up to 5 million cycles. They are available in bulk quantities, in tubes, tape and reel or in sheets for custom made arrays. These custom arrays can be provided with white, translucent or transparent adhesive, holes to allow mounting of LEDs, and domes which are pre-positioned according to customer specifications.
Electrical specifications include operation at up to 100 VRMS, with rated current between 5 μA and 100 mA. Contact resistance is below 100 mΩ and maximum switching capacity is 1 W. The domes can operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +105°C, and they are RoHS and REACH compliant.
