The Blackhawk USB100 is a low-cost controller for basic debugging of Texas Instruments’ (TI) DSPs. Requiring no external power source, the device can support most basic emulator features and requires no additional drivers when installed using CCS v3.3 SR12 and CCS v3.3 for C2000 DSK Version (version 3.3.81.28 or newer). The USB100 is also fully supported under CCS v4 Beta and future Texas Instruments roadmap software development environments.
The USB100 provides for fast code downloads and assembly code stepping by employing a high-speed USB2.0 (480 Mbps) port. Measuring just 7 x 2 x 1,5 cm, the emulator supports 1,8–3,3 V targets with standard TI 14-pin connections and also supports TI’s compact 20-pin emulation header (cTI). Additionally, with an optional 20cTI to 20ARM connector (available from Blackhawk), the USB100 can connect to ARM Multi-Ice platforms. It is also compatible with Code Composer Studio’s Flash-burner utility.
