Amber’s AMB8425-M-RP is an all-embedded low-cost wireless M-Bus repeater module. Its integrated protocol controls all data communication, and all operating modes according to the standard are configurable by hardware pins. Digital outputs are available as receive and transmit control signals. The module’s output power of 10 dBm and receive sensitivity of -110 dBm provide it with a range up to 700 metres line-of-sight.
The module operates from 2,2 to 3,6 V d.c. with power consumption of 36 mA for the transmitter, 24 mA for the receiver and just 1 μA in low-power mode. Its complement of interfaces includes UART, analog and digital I/O and SPI. Serial data rate is 1,2 to 115,2 Kbps, while the RF data rate is selectable between 2,4 Kbps, 16,384 Kbps and 66,6 Kbps.
The AMB8425-M-RP is a 16 x 27 x 3,5 mm surface-mounted module and can be delivered on tape and reel for volume production.
