AMIC has released the A25LQ032, the latest member of its SPI Flash family. Packaged in an 8- or 16-lead SO package, the device is a 32 Mb low-voltage Flash with a stated speed equivalent to 400 Mhz. It features write protection mechanisms and is accessed by a high-speed SPI compatible dual or quad I/O bus. The memory can be programmed 1 to 256 bytes at a time using the page mode program instruction. The whole memory can be erased using the block erase instruction or a sector at a time by means of the sector erase instruction.
An additional 64-byte, user lockable OTP area allows proprietary data storage.
Due to its power management function, the A25LQ032 can go into a deep power-down state consuming no more then 15 μA. This makes it versatile for portable or battery powered system applications operating from 2,7 to 3,6 V.
