For Quickon plug connectors belonging to Phoenix Contact’s Quickon Power Distribution installation system, additional red coding profiles are now available that can be inserted in four different positions. The range of products is available in either black or grey and differs regarding how the pins are designated. The black connection components have pin designations 1,2,3 and PE and the grey versions, PE to pin 4 (1,2,3 and 4). As a result of the different colour coding and plug-in coding, Quickon Power Distribution can also be used for different voltage circuits within a plant or system.
Quickon Power Distribution is an industrial-grade installation technology in IP68 protection and is resistant to hammer blows according to IK 07. By eliminating the need to prepare the conductors, installation times can be reduced by up to 80%. The four-pin, IDC fast connection system is specified for 690 V and 20 A, and can accept conductor cross sections of 1,0 up to 2,5 mm².
