Recom has released a new series of 20 to 50 W DC/DC converters. The PowerlinePlus series is the first to incorporate Recom’s innovative ICE technology – a combination of techniques to minimise internal heat dissipation and maximise the heat transfer to ambient. The new converters are highly efficient and satisfy the requirements of many military, avionics and high-end industrial applications with a case temperature operating range of -45°C to +120°C, built-in Class B EMC filters and fully protected outputs.
The PowerlinePlus converter series consists of six new module offerings:
The RPP20-S_D provides 20 W of power with 2:1 input voltage range, single- or dual-output options, 2 kV d.c. isolation, built-in EMC filter and operates at efficiencies of up to 90% to offer an ambient operating temperature range from -45°C up to +100°C without derating. Similar to the RPP20-S_D, the RPP20-S_DW offers an extra-wide 4:1 input voltage range.
The RPP30-S_D provides 30 W with 2:1 input voltage range, single- or dual-output options, 3 kV d.c. isolation, built-in EMC filter and operates at efficiencies of up to 92% over a temperature range from -45°C up to +96°C. The RPP30-S_DW is similarly specified but offers a 4:1 input voltage range.
The RPP40-S provides 40 W of power with 2:1 input, single output, 3 kV d.c. isolation, built-in EMC filter and operates at efficiencies of up to 92% to offer an ambient operating temperature range from -45°C up to +89°C. The RPP50-S provides 50 W and operates at efficiencies of up to 91% from -45°C up to +81°C.
All converters are offered in a case size of 50 x 30,5 mm.
