Maxim’s MAX9634 is the latest addition to its industry-leading portfolio of high-side current-sense amplifiers (CSAs). Designed for space-constrained portable applications, the 1 mm² device has a wide (1,6 V to 28 V) input voltage range, making it well suited for a broad selection of battery-powered devices.
The IC is optimised for compact designs that require precision monitoring. It consumes 1 μA of quiescent current to conserve battery life, and is offered in a 1 x 1 x 0,6 mm, 4-bump UCSP, which is nine times smaller than SOT23-housed devices. The device features low ±250 μV VOS and 0,5% gain error. This high accuracy simplifies designs, and eliminates the need to worry about worst-case error tolerances. The MAX9634 is fully specified over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range, and is available in 4-bump UCSP and 6-pin SOT23 packages.
