4-channel video surveillance processor

26 May 2010 Analogue, Mixed Signal, LSI

Averlogic’s AL37204 is a 4-channel video surveillance processor with features including simultaneous monitoring-playback-recording operation, flexible video display mode, bitmapped and dynamic coloured OSD, rich modes of recording, accurate motion detection (16x12 grids) with flexible threshold and trigger methods, replay on all input and playback channels.

The processor can be combined with AverLogic’s MPEG-4 encoder (AL9V576) and video decoders (AL240) to provide high-quality surveillance systems with cost effective structure. Its 9-channel counterpart, AL37219, can be used for real-time 9-channel surveillance applications.

Applications include video surveillance multiplexer/processors, DVR and POS DVR, video servers, highway traffic throughput surveillance, medical inspection/surgery, ATM machine surveillance, defence surveillance, multiple channel IP cameras and high end TV boxes with channel preview.

The AL37204 supports NTSC and PAL standards, as well as 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 16 and multiwindows display modes. It features programmable brightness, contrast and saturation, and supports DDR 16-bit interface up to 4 Gb memory. It integrates three embedded TV encoders with three DACs, and operates from a 1,8/3,3 V power supply in a 216-pin, 24 x 24 mm LQFP package.
