IEI’s uIBX-200 series of fanless embedded computing systems are designed with compactness in mind, making them well suited to installation in environments with limited space. Their quiet, fanless operation suits noise sensitive environments such as museums and libraries. With the uIBXVK-200B double-sided VESA75 mount kit, uIBX-200 models can be installed between display stands and display monitors.
The uIBX-200-US15WP features Intel’s low-power Atom US15WP chipset. With built-in multimedia decode engine, this model can play back HD H.264 movie smoothly while still allowing the CPU to handle other tasks.
The uIBX-200-VX800 has all essential functions to work as a thin client in a production line. Operators can read the assembly SOP and search the part number online, and get constant updates of production schedules and other instructions from management. During production, barcodes can be scanned and updated to the production server either by batch or via LAN or WiFi connection. A webcam can also be installed to collect image data during production processes if necessary.
The uIBX-200-R10/Z510P’s chipset integrates an H.264, MPEG1 /2/4, VC1/WMV9 decoder which is capable of displaying high-resolution multimedia advertisements. Content can be updated through the Internet remotely, or directly from a USB device and stored in SD memory. The content is stored in an SD card and the operating system is installed in a CompactFlash card; this protects the OS from damage when frequently reading or writing content from or to the same disk. The lockable door also can protect the CF from unauthorised access.
