The PQ-Box 100 – a network power analyser, power meter and transient recorder in one instrument – has been developed by a-eberle for mobile operation and is suitable for measurements in public networks, installation category CAT IV. The compact device, which is shockproof and has a waterproof housing, is designed for tough applications. It measures voltage quality according to the stringent requirements of NRS048, EN50160, IEC 61000-2-2 Class A, for low-, medium- and high-voltage networks.
The instrument has application specific settings which are easy to program and a number of triggering options enable quick location of faults. A USB II interface is available to transfer the data, and the unit has a 1 GB memory, enabling measurement values to be stored for up to a year.
A clear display provides information about correct measurement cable and current clamp connection and shows data for voltage, current, THD and power. The number of events that have occurred during operation and the recorded measurement duration are also displayed for the user. A manual trigger button enables recording of the current network status of a system in the form of an oscilloscope trace and 10 ms RMS values. Two additional buttons can be used to scroll the display and to adjust the settings of the device.
Evaluation software, which offers numerous evaluation options like load analysis, troubleshooting and automatic EN 50160 reports, can be installed on an unlimited number of PCs. A range of accessories is also available.
