Micrel’s new MIC2619 is an integrated boost switching regulator, operating at 1,2 MHz, that can supply up to 350 mA switch current. The device features programmable over-voltage protection (OVP), very low shutdown current and soft start functionality. It targets applications such as digital TV tuners, optical networking equipment, LCD bias supplies, SEPIC converters and positive output regulators.
With a maximum output voltage of 35 V and a switch current of more than 350 mA, the MIC2619 can power most high-voltage bias applications such as TV tuners. It implements a constant frequency PWM current-mode control scheme.
The IC has programmable over-voltage protection to ensure output protection in case of fault conditions. It is available in a low-profile Thin SOT-23 6-pin package and has an operating junction temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
