Maxim's MAX4465-MAX4469 family of microphone preamplifiers combines micropower operation, complete shutdown, and small footprint, making it suited for use in portable products. The MAX4465/6 devices in the tiny 5-pin SC70 (half the size of SOT23), and MAX44678/9 in 8-pin SOT23 consume 20 µA of supply current. The MAX4467/8 add a complete shutdown mode that reduces the amplifiers' supply current to less than 1 µA and shuts down the internal microphone bias for ultimate power saving. The single MAX4465/7 and dual MAX4469 are all unity-gain stable and have a 200 kHz gain bandwidth product, whereas the MAX4466/8 are decompensated and have a minimum stable gain of 5 V/V allowing a gain bandwidth of 500 kHz.
