RS Components has revealed that DesignSpark, its new gateway to online design resources and support, reached 6000 members within the first three weeks of its launch. DesignSpark was launched in July, giving engineers trusted and reliable information and resources, bringing together design information, user generated reviews and new free-of-charge tools to speed up the design process. The site can be accessed at www.designspark.com
A popular feature for members has been DesignSpark PCB, a free professional standard PCB design software tool. Downloads reached well over 5000 in the first three weeks of availability, with users having access to a package providing schematic capture and PCB design without limitations. Engineers have made full use of the resources and support materials available on DesignSpark, and are actively contributing to the future development of DesignSpark PCB.
