LEM has continued to expand its range of high-accuracy voltage transducers and is now able to offer a transducer to measure from a few volts up to 6400 V a.c. or DC, and everything in between. Currently LEM utilises two technologies for voltage measurement: closed-loop Hall technology and voltage divider/opto isolation (isolation amplifier). Voltage transducers offered by LEM will respond to AC and DC with galvanic isolation.
Typical applications include railway traction, AC variable speed drives, servo motor drives, windmills, battery supplied applications, ie, electric vehicles, forklift trucks, solar power installations, uninterrupted power supplies, switch mode power supplies, power supplies for welding applications, etc. Other applications include test and measurement in laboratories and universities, electrolysis, induction heating, energy management systems, over-current protection, control and safety systems.
