Touch panel PC fully IP65 protected

15 September 2010 Computer/Embedded Technology

Avalue has released the new LPC-1203 touch panel PC aimed at marine and extreme environment applications. It achieves full IP65 compliance which means it can withstand overall splashing conditions.

With low power consumption technology, the fanless computer is powered by the Intel Atom N270 processor. It employs an embedded and unique heat dissipation trench design, enabling system-generated heat to dissipate quickly. Aside from hastening heat dissipation, the aluminium chassis also protects the computer when it is used in more humid environments such as factories or testing labs.

The entire computer is waterproof, including front panel, rear data transmission connectors and power sources etc.

Using the modular system-on-module design concept, the LPC-1203 supports diversified performance levels such as COMe/ETX CPU modules and lower scalable baseboard. The PC comes with a 12” touch panel LED backlit screen which supports resolution up to 1024x768 and provides flexible input and tap functions.

The LPC-1203 has 1 GB DDR2 onboard and one 200-pin DDR2 SODIMM supports up to 2 GB DDR2 400/533 (1 GB per bank) SDRAM. Interfaces include dual Gigabit Ethernet, 1x Mini PCI, 1x CF, 1x COM and 2x USB.
