knitter-switch has announced a custom assembly service that brings together knitter-switch products with customer specified cabling, connectors and other electromechanical parts.
According to knitter-switch CEO Hanspeter Külb, there is a growing demand from customers to reduce their supplier count and look for complete electro-mechanical assemblies rather than single components from several sources. As well as improved quality control, there are also cost benefits when dealing with a single supplier.
“Many customers want more than just a switch and are increasingly asking us to provide them with a finished assembly by adding cable and connectors to their specification.” Says Külb, “What we have put in place with this new assembly service is the capability to offer design and product procurement as well as assembly and test to a variety of electrical and safety specifications in addition to RoHS compliance for the finished assembly.”
Practically every knitter-switch part can be supplied ready wired or cabled with the appropriate connector or termination solution. These include all types of switches from key switches, pushbuttons, toggles and rotary encoded switches to encoders, LED indicators and membrane keypads. knitter-switch can provide full engineering support and lead times from original enquiry to first samples can be very short.
