Radiall has expanded its EN4644 EPXB modular interconnect product line with an EPXB2 environmental version with a new quick disconnect feature.
The quick disconnect EPXB2 connector is custom designed for a specific application and is suitable for high-density rack and panel applications where quick release/disconnect of the two mated connectors is needed. It also meets the requirements of the aerospace and defence industries.
The robust design of this sealed EPXB2 version can withstand harsh environments and is IP67 rated when mated. It features an innovative locking mechanism enabling the plug and receptacle to be mated by simply applying pressure and rotating the central locking device by a quarter turn. To disconnect, the user simply pulls back the device holding ring located on the plug. It has been designed with an EMI backshell compatible with panel sealed applications.
