TDK-Lambda has added a 200 W module to its CN-A110 series of DC-DC power modules that have a wide range 60–160 V d.c. input, to accommodate higher-power railway applications.
Available with nominal output voltages from 5 V to 24 V (adjustable ±10%), the CN200A110 module is fully regulated and isolated to deliver high performance in the industry standard half-brick footprint.
The modules are suitable for both rolling stock and fixed installations, enabling customers to design cost-effective EN50155 compliant systems without the risks associated with custom product designs. TDK-Lambda also offers a design and manufacture service for customers preferring to buy in complete systems meeting their exact electrical and mechanical requirements.
Designed for harsh environments, the 200 W module in the CN-A110 series meets the stringent shock and vibration requirements of IEC61373 Category 1 Class B. The baseplate-cooled module, with industry standard half-brick pinout, provides high, true useable power from -40°C to +100°C, without derating. It offers up to 88% power conversion efficiency and delivers up to 4,2 A useable output current in a package measuring 57,9 x 61,0 x 12,7 mm.
As standard, all models in the CN-A110 series are equipped with remote sense, remote on/off and input-to-output isolation of 3000 V a.c., as well as over-voltage and over-current protection circuitry. They are delivered with TDK-Lambda’s five-year warranty, are safety approved to UL/CSA/EN60950-1 and carry the CE mark, according to the LV directive.
