EMI-filtered Micro-D-Sub connectors

10 November 2010 Interconnection

A line of small, lightweight EMI-filtered Micro D-Subminiature connectors was introduced by Spectrum’s Advanced Specialty Products division. They feature the same high performance EMI filtering and rugged construction as Spectrum’s standard filtered D-Sub connectors. The Micro D-sub connectors are designed and built to MIL-DTL-83513 and available fully RoHS compliant. Their compact footprint addresses a range of medical, industrial and aerospace applications where space is limited and EMI is a concern.

The connectors are available with nine to 37 contacts and a variety of styles, terminations and mounting options. They offer capacitance values to 4700 pF, can be specified for selective line filtering and provide an environmentally sealed contact area once mated. The Micro D-sub connectors withstand an operating voltage to 100 V d.c., dielectric withstanding voltage to 300 V d.c., current rating of 3 A, and insulation resistance of 5 GW at 100 V d.c.
